Aluminum sheet for offset printing 0.13-0.4mm thickness
The thickness of aluminum sheet commonly used in offset printing is 0.13-0.4mm. Aluminum sheet of this thickness is widely used in CTP plate base and PS plate base printing. Commonly used alloy grades are 1050, 1060, 1070, etc. The aluminum content of these alloys is ≥99.50%, ≥99.60%, ≥99.70%, respectively. It has the advantages of low density, high strength, good forming, good hydrophilicity, high stability, and good surface treatment. It is very suitable as a substrate for PS/CTP plates.
In the offset printing process, the surface of the aluminum sheet is specially treated to absorb and evenly distribute the ink, and then the ink is transferred to the paper through the rubber roller to complete the printing task.
PS plate (pre-sensitized plate): traditional offset printing plate, needs to be developed
CTP plate (computer to plate): suitable for modern digital printing technology, reducing the development steps

Features of aluminum plate for offset printing:
Lightweight: Aluminum has a low density, making the plate light and easy to operate and install.
Corrosion resistance: Aluminum has good corrosion resistance, which can ensure the long-term use of the plate.
Easy to process: Aluminum is easy to cut, drill and process, making it convenient to make printing plates of various sizes.
Good thermal conductivity: Aluminum has good thermal conductivity, which is conducive to the transfer and drying of ink.
Recyclable: Aluminum is a recyclable material and meets environmental protection requirements.
Common thickness and its application:
0.15mm-0.20mm: Aluminum sheets of this thickness are usually used to produce high-quality printed materials, such as albums, magazines, etc. Thinner sheets can provide better printing accuracy and color reproduction.
0.20mm-0.30mm: This is the most commonly used thickness range, suitable for various types of printed materials, including books, newspapers, brochures, etc. This thickness of sheet has a good balance, which can not only ensure printing quality, but also meet the needs of production efficiency.
0.30mm-0.40mm: Thicker aluminum sheets are usually used for printed materials that require higher durability and stability, such as packaging boxes, labels, etc. This type of sheet can withstand greater pressure and wear, thereby extending the service life of printed materials.
