What is CTP plate?

The CTP plate in the printing industry refers to the printing plate making technology that directly transfers the numbers, pictures or pages edited in the electronic prepress processing system or color desktop system to the printing press without subsequent processing.

CTP plates are mostly used for high-end color printing plate making. To ensure the quality of the printing plate, the apparent quality of the plate base is a prerequisite. CTP plate base usually uses 1 series high-quality pure aluminum plate, such as 1050A aluminum plate, 1060 aluminum plate, 1050 aluminum plate, 1070 aluminum plate, etc.

CTP plate has high requirements for plate base flatness, and no unevenness is allowed, because most CTP equipment uses scanning imaging, unlike PS plate exposure, which uses vacuuming to make the plate surface and film close together. If the plate has poor flatness, it will affect the quality of laser imaging.
